À propos de Lawrence

Les mots de Lawrence.

Life is often overwhelming. Whether it's stress from school or work, a family conflict, questions about identity and belonging, or simply feeling stuck in a life that doesn't feel like it's yours anymore, that sense of "I don't know what I'm doing" can be exhausting and isolating. I want you to know that feeling lost doesn't mean you're broken. It often means you're growing.

I work with individual adults navigating change. People who are trying to figure out who they are, what they want, and how to build a life that actually feels right. If you're in that place of uncertainty, I'm here to help you find your footing.

My approach is collaborative and curious. I think of myself as a co-pilot on your journey, not someone who takes the wheel, but someone sitting right beside you, helping you read the map and navigate what's ahead. I won't tell you what to do. Instead, I'll ask the right questions, reflect back what I'm hearing, and help you see your situation with fresh eyes.

What our sessions might look like: sitting with the inner experiences and deep feelings you've been carrying quietly, the things that are hard to put into words and even harder to share, and exploring the beliefs and patterns shaping your decisions. Together we'll work on building clarity around who you are and who you want to become, developing communication skills for healthier relationships, and processing the emotions that come with major life changes.

I have a deep passion for inclusive, affirming care, and I especially welcome LGBTQ+ individuals, neurodiverse folks, and people navigating cultural identity and belonging. If you're looking for a therapist who will truly see you, I'd love to connect.

My primary orientation is person-centered, which means our work together is guided by your goals, your pace, and what feels most meaningful to you. I also draw on Emotionally Focused Therapy to help clients explore and make sense of their deeper emotional experiences, and I'm able to incorporate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy when they're a good fit for what you're working on.

Un peu de contexte.

What is it like working with you?

I'm warm, thoughtful, and I bring a non-judgmental curiosity to every session. I ask a lot of questions, not to pry, but because I'm genuinely interested in understanding your experience. In me you'll find a therapist who can see your values, challenge your assumptions, and trust the strengths that are so often difficult to own.

What do you like most about being a therapist?

Every client's story feels to me like watching a film in a theatre all to myself. It's an intimate adventure, full of big moments and quiet ones, and I consider it an enormous privilege to be a witness to it. That's what I love most about this work, being trusted with something that personal, and showing up fully for it.

How do you take care of your own mental health?

I've kept a journal for the past fifteen years, and it remains one of the most grounding things I do. Outside of that, you'll find me cycling or tinkering with a bike, shooting hoops, losing myself in photography, or deep into a video game or board game with people I care about. I enjoy films and read constantly for learning as much as for fun. Staying curious outside the therapy room is a big part of how I stay present inside it.

What does healing look like to you?

It's not a straight line, and it doesn't look the same for everyone. For some people, healing means finally being able to talk about something they've carried in silence. For others, it's making a decision they've been avoiding. I think healing is the process of becoming more honest with yourself about what you need.

Who do you work best with?

I tend to connect really well with people who are curious about themselves. People who are in a place of transition and want to understand why they feel the way they do, not just make the feeling go away. If you're someone who wants to dig a little deeper, we'll work well together.
